At the initiative of the World Health Organization, November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. This initiative helps to raise public awareness about violence against women and girls, one of the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violations in the world.
According to the United Nations, “violence against women is as serious a cause of death and incapacity among women of reproductive age as cancer, and a greater cause of ill health than traffic accidents and malaria combined”.
In Arteche, we are signatories of the Global Compact and we have committed ourselves to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, among which is Gender Equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
As daily initiatives within our Sustainability Plan, we have set up equality committees in all the companies that are part of the Arteche Group, while working towards parity in new hiring, as well as defining objectives in the internal succession plans.
