Arteche has supplied the power quality and revenue metering system for the 754 MW photovoltaic solar power plant, the largest in the American continent that is being built in Mexico.
Arteche electricity billing and energy quality measuring meters, saTECH DM9300, offer an accuracy of 0.2% according to standards IEC62052-11, IEC62053-22 and ANSI-0000-48, CFE G12.20 Ver. 2010, covering the most rigorous and demanding standards in the environment, ensuring a high technical and functional performance and the highest levels of reliability and precision. This makes them ideal for the plant that Enel, through its subsidiary Enel Green Power Mexico, is building in Viesca, in the state of Coahuila.
It will spend around 650 million dollars in it in the construction of Villanueva, its largest solar project in the world. It is expected that the entire installation of 754 MW will start operating in the second half of 2018, and generate more than 1,700 GWh per year, which is equivalent to the energy needs of more than 1.3 million homes, avoiding the emission of more than 780,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
