Korean Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) has approved Arteche auxiliary relays

KHNP, a subsidiary of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) that operates large nuclear and hydroelectric plants in South Korea, has certified Arteche auxiliary relays.

They has been recognized as “Q class” component under Industrial Quality Classification System developed by Bechtel Co. Ltd., scheme used by KEPCO for high performance and safety related equipment. 

In order to obtain the qualification Arteche auxiliary relays have successfully passed the most stringent tests in the world in terms of reliability, safety and seismic behavior. This certification enables Arteche auxiliary relays to be used in nuclear power plants, high duty environments and critical applications, according to the most demanding standards.

KHNP generates about 40% of the Korea's electric power supply. Nowadays it has more than 9.500 employees worldwide and international offices in USA, France and Japan.
