Medium and high voltage capacitor banks and harmonic filters
Capacitor banks and harmonic filters are connected in shunt to the system in order to provide reactive power. They can incorporate tuned or detuned reactors to diminish or eliminate the harmonics present in the system. Their main function is keeping the system stability and diminish loses, contributing to improve power system operation efficiency.
Arteche has the aptitude and flexibility required to provide answers adapted to the requirements of each project needs, up to 245 kV. We develop custom solutions for each application, reactive power need, protection scheme and harmonic mitigation strategy.
Arteche designs and manufactures capacitor banks and harmonic filtering systems mounted on metallic structures, to be installed indoors or outdoors, as substation. Arteche systems in open rack can be manufactured on hot galvanized steel or aluminum, for voltage levels up to 245 kV.
According to each application’s requirements, capacitors, filters, reactors, switching equipment and protective devices are selected, integrated and tested to fit our customer needs and preferences with the most competitive solution.
