Arteche Power Quality solutions ensure grid compliance in 450MW wind farm in Texas

The 450MW High Lonesome wind farm, in Texas, has relied on the Arteche complete Power Quality solution for grid connected renewables and grid code compliance. The wind farm is expected to generate around 1.9 TWh annually, in addition to avoiding the emission of more than 1.2 million tons of CO2 per year.

We have extensive experience in solving power quality problems in renewable parks, as well as a broad portfolio of services to help our clients overcome the challenges of connecting renewables to the grid and ensuring their stability. This allows us to understand the requirements of the grid codes so that we can offer an optimal solution, both technically and economically.

In order to ensure the viability and optimum performance of the High Lonesome project in Texas, we have designed, produced and tested the 34.5kV and 27MVAr, and the 34.5kV and 48MVAr automatic capacitor banks. Both its dimensioning and design, as well as its installation, are key factors to ensure the stability of the network by complying with the requirements of the grid code.

In addition, our team supervised its assembly and commissioning. For this reason, we have a team of engineers specialized in renewable energy grid integration who contribute their experience as a result of more than 30 years in the execution of projects in more than 30 countries.
