Arteche, committed to the stability of the power grid

Arteche has completed the tests of the remote control system of Itxaso's substation, a 400kV substation important for the stability of the power grid and for ensuring the continuity of the electrical supply.

In view of the situation caused by the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, Arteche has adopted strict measures to guarantee the health of its technicians, who have gone to REE's facilities, and to ensure the service to the Spanish electricity operator.

In order to carry out the tests in the substation, Arteche's technicians conducted their work following a strict health and safety protocol, also having all the necessary PPE.

Arteche, with an important installed base of control systems in the transmission grid, maintains its commitment and will carry out the essential work to ensure the correct operation of the electricity system of Red Eléctrica de España, the spanish electricity operator that has close to 44,000 km of electricity lines and almost 700 substations throughout the country, thus helping the continuity and safety of the country's electrical transmission infrastructure.
