Arteche, DHL Grand Award for Export 2022

DHL Express has celebrated the 8th Edition of the DHL Atlas Export Awards with a record number of entries and nominated companies compared to previous editions.  The Royal Tapestry Factory in Madrid hosted the gala celebration of an event that was created to recognize and promote the work and effort made by Spanish companies to internationalize their business and, in less than a decade, has established itself as an annual event of reference for the business sector in Spain.

Arteche has received the Grand Atlas Export Award 2022. Its international presence (13 factories in 4 of the 5 continents and 6 R&D centers), an ambitious training program for young people, a clear commitment to R&D, a B2B e-commerce model and a proven commitment to sustainability have been key points to be worthy of the Grand Atlas Export Award 2022.

As the winner of the DHL Atlas Grand Prize for Export 2022, Arteche will be able to participate in a foreign trade mission organized by the Chamber of Commerce, to be defined jointly by DHL Express and the company itself.
In the rest of the categories, the awarded companies were: Most Innovative Export Award went this year to Kunak; the award for Most Sustainable Export went to Soltec and the recognition for Export through e-commerce was achieved this year by Big Buy.

The DHL Atlas 2022 Awards have once again sought to recognize those companies that, despite the difficult circumstances facing the global economy, have developed high-value initiatives to expand their radius in international markets. A total of 141 Spanish companies submitted 270 nominations, a record number of proposals in the history of these awards, with an increase of 39.2% in the number of nominations received compared to 194 last year and 42.4% of companies that applied compared to 99 in the previous competition.

In terms of sectors, as in previous editions, there was a wide and diverse representation. This year the fashion and textile, food, sports and manufacturing industries predominated. They were followed by automotive, construction, health and oenology. Catalonia (21%), Madrid (13%), the Basque Country (11%), Valencia (11%), Murcia (6%) and Navarre (5%) were the most active Autonomous Communities in terms of the number of companies participating in the event, but there was a large presence of companies from practically all the Spanish Autonomous Communities.
