The diagnostic method for capacitive voltage transformers has been developed to determine the state of the insulation of the equipment in service using reliable, efficient, simple, non-invasive and safe diagnostic procedures with the least possible impact on the normal operation of the electrical network as no stops or disconnections of the units being analyzed are required.
This responds to the need to maximize the life of equipment, minimizing costs, investing exclusively in the equipment that really need it and avoiding any impact on the normal operation of the electrical network.
This method is based, among other parameters, on the increase of the error in the electrical measurement to detect the deterioration of the insulation. If the deterioration is not detected and addressed, the failure rate could increase exponentially, accelerating the end of the asset's useful life.
Arteche's diagnostic method responds to the need to identify, analyze, and diagnose which capacitive voltage transformers need to be replaced and which do not, thus optimizing the budget and maximizing the life of the equipment.
