Last October 19 we held a BATTalk at the B Accelerator Tower entitled Solving the new challenges of the energy transition: sustainable innovation. In this event we had the opportunity to present our Innovation and Development strategy focused on achieving a more sustainable power grid. We showed how in the Arteche Innovation Ecosystem we work in co-creation: sharing spaces, projects and challenges to align efforts, interests and capabilities and identify, together, new opportunities.
Alex Artetxe, CEO, presented Arteche to the more than 50 attendees who participated in the event. Next, it was Óscar Fernández de Retana, CTO, who explained Arteche's R&D Strategy and its open innovation models before giving way to Begoña Uribarrena, Innovation Ecosystem Leader, who showed the magnitude of Arteche's Innovation Ecosystem, of which nearly 80 entities, such as technology centers or Start-Ups, are part.
The morning concluded with a round table, where Iñigo Huerta, Global High Voltage Transformer D&D Manager, Global Electronic Equipment High Level Software Manager, Jone Juiz, D&D Engineer, Mikel Meoki, from Embeblue, and Jon Rozados, from Tecnalia, highlighted the cooperation necessary to develop a real innovation project. The sensorization and monitoring of instrument transformers in the electricity sector to manage assets in real time.
The BATTalk was a fantastic opportunity to continue adding energies in the innovation ecosystem, to achieve innovative solutions to the vital challenges we face, such as the energy transition. To this end, after the event, there were some sessions with Start-Ups where we were able to address these challenges from the perspective of Smart Grids, Big Data, Digitalization, Sustainability or Industry 5.0.
